Take an early morning ride to the Jawai dam area which has found its place on tourist map due to the presence of a considerable population of leopards. Spot the spotted ones and drive along to meet the other locals- the Rabaris who call themselves the custodians of animals. They are herders for whom animals are the most sacred. Rabaris also strongly believe in the institution of marriage and hence divorces in this community is unheard of. Meet the Rabaris and get an insight into their history and present lives.
